Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) commenced its operations from 1st June 2002, taking the responsibilities of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited. In charge of supplying power to the entire city of Bangalore, it covers an area of 41,092 sq. km with a population of over 207 lakhs and eight districts.
